Scope and Description:
With the increasing trend towards home service and health care, we are faced with a need for improved control systems of human-centered assistive and rehabilitation robots capable of performing in the unstructured environments. The special session addresses a broad spectrum of topics within wearable robotics. Special attention should be given to the integration of robotics with intelligent control technology, cognitive science and bio-mechatronics systems with the goal of developing new multidimensional robotic services. This includes mechanism modeling and design, model identification and intelligent control, cognitive computing, biological signal processing, neural impedance adaptation, teleoperation and tele-manipulation, robot learning from human demonstration and cognitive modeling for human-robot interaction or collaboration. The special session publishes original papers of innovative ideas and concepts, new discoveries and improvements, and novel applications and business models relevant to the field of wearable robotics.
Submission:
All the submissions to the special session will be considered in IEEE Robotics and Automation Letter special issue on Human Cooperative Wearable Robotics . The papers will be both reviewed by RA-L and Conference Program Committee, the papers which pass the evaluation of RA-L will be published in RA-L Special Issue, and they will not be included in the conference proceeding but should be registered in the conference. On the other hand, the papers which are rejected by RA-L can be possible accepted by the conference based on the comments from RA-L evaluation. The authors should submit the potential paper to https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icarm20170, and also submit the same copy to submission at the RA-L Papercept site http://ras.papercept.net/journals/ral between May 10, 2017 and May 15, 2017.
